El Camino de los Altos brocade pillow covers are handwoven by master weavers from Larrainzar in Los Altos de Chiapas in southern Mexico. Using traditional backstrap looms, these indigneous women weave intricate designs by adding colored, mercerized cotton yarn into the warp and weft. The traditional brocade designs from Larrainzar are drawn from local history and mythology. 

Brocade pillow covers in fall colors are available in fiery tomato on dark slate, ochre on dark slate, eggplant on dark slate or sky blue on teal (tulum/tuqueza) shown left to right.

Brocade pillow woven on back-strap loom with 100% mercerized cotton. Pillow insert is not included.
